Gravity & Gears
Gravity & Gears is a partnership with Slick City Action Park’s only Georgia location. Slick City is uniquely a trampoline park and amusement park in one. It features giant slides, dodge ball, zip lines, basketball, and more. Youth will attend camp with Slick City as their playground.
Your child will get data acquisition and robotics that will prepare them for their 7th - 9th grade curriculum. They will measure acceleration and position, build and program a robot, and keep the robot when the camp is over for even more fun!
The cost of the camp is $450. This includes five daily passes to Slick City Action Park, take home robot (line-following sensor, sonar, camera, remote control & more), t-shirt, and time with Dr. Gaines who has worked to support students as faculty in higher education for over 15 years.
Slick City has an open cafe where food can be purchased or attendees may bring their own food. Drop-off is at 9am and pick-up is at 3pm each day. The daily schedule for the camp features 2-hours of STEM learning, 2-hours of open play, and 2-hours of connection/reflection to help prepare youth for STEM in college.
