We specialize in engineering identity development, technical skill development, and youth empowerment. We follow a STEM mentoring model where each day offers technical skill focused and connection focused sessions. Connection comes in multiple forms where engaging in play, reflection, or coaching activities.

Camp attendance is capped at 24 youth per week. This makes us a smaller camp with more direct connection. Attendees will also get coaching and mentoring from Dr. Gaines who has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering.
The Slick City Action Park location also makes this camp special. The park is the only one of its kind in GA. The giant slides are the basis of the data acquisition lessons of the camp.

I believe STEM is best taught to youth in a fun, family-oriented environment. I’ve used this model in the facilitation of summer camps for 20 years. This also best reflects the engineering discipline which is a people-driven profession. I will center the success and wellbeing of each individual child and I will work to build community with both youth and parents.
